Spanking
Am I a terrible mother because I don’t want to spank my kid? Everyone is giving me (for lack of better words) shit for it. I agree with it in certain circumstances, & by no means do I think it’s wrong or child abuse, but it just doesn’t sit right with me. I am a VERY strict mother & I don’t let my son get away with anything, but I just don’t see how it makes sense to spank your kid when he’s having a tantrum to get him to settle down. It just fuels the tantrum in my opinion. & if I expect my son not to hit, why would I hit him? I think there are more productive ways to accomplish good behavior than a spanking but everyone else seems to disagree, so I’m still not sure what I’m going to do in the future.
